Louise and John asked me to custom make a variety of vases for their wedding, which was set in the beautiful gardens of Heide Gallery in Melbourne. Their taste is simple and elegant, and they wanted vases which would suit the styling and floral arrangements they had in mind. We decided on two sizes of vase for use in the ceremony and reception.First were three larger vases to display on the signing table during the wedding ceremony, and then relocated to the restaurant for the gift table. These tall vases were hand thrown with the upper rim slightly pinched to create a bespoke oval shape. These vases were glazed in satin white and the bottoms dipped in selected colours – Birdy Green, Seed Green and Light Grey.
I also made two dozen small hand-thrown cylinders glazed in satin white and seed green. These small cylinder vases were used on the guest tables with simple white floral arrangements and nestled with clusters of candles. These small vases were the inspiration for my collaborative LUKE x Brooke range made exclusively for LUKE Furniture.
Please note, I’m currently on leave and am not taking custom orders.
